Benchmark Factory® for Databases 5.5

New Features and Enhancements: *for a full list of new features, please see the release notes Quest® SQL Optimizer Integration Benchmark Factory is now integrated with Quest SQL Optimizer for Oracle, allowing you to test SQL statements for scalability under a specific user load to determine the best performing SQL alternatives. Oracle Trace File Import  The Oracle Trace File import process has been enhanced to allow for datetime bind parameters, NULL bind values, and better dependency filtering, as well as support Oracle 11g trace file import Improved UI and Reporting Features Includes a streamlined Submit Job process, enhanced TPC-C and TPC-H Reporting, and a new Agent Tab in Settings for Virtual Users New Mapping Options Benchmark Factory has some new advanced mapping options added for SQL Server and Sybase databases, allowing customization of the creation of benchmark objects Added Support for Oracle 11g and Microsoft Vista

System Requirements Before installing Benchmark Factory for Databases 5.5, ensure your system meets the following minimum hardware and software requirements: Repository Benchmark Factory cannot run without a repository, and by default a MySQL repository is installed during the install process.  After installation, you can remove the MySQL service and delete the MySQL repository, then select  a repository of your choice. Benchmark Factory supports the following databases: Oracle SQL Server MySQL Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere (iAnywhere) Platform Computer with 300 megahertz or higher processor clock speed recommended 233 MHz minimum required (single or dual processor system) Memory 256 MB of RAM recommended Note: The memory required may vary based on the following: Applications that are running on your system. Size and complexity of the database. Amount of database activity. Number of concurrent users accessing the database. Hard Disk Space 120 MB of disk space for installation Note: The disk space required may vary based on options selected for installation. Operating System Microsoft®Windows® 2000, 2003, XP Professional, and Vista Database Client/Sever Versions Oracle: 8, 8i, 9i, 9.2, 10g, and 11g (Note: Requires Oracle 8.1.7 client libraries or higher.) SQL Server: 7, 2000, and 2005 Sybase: 12.5 and 15 DB2 LUW: 8.1.5 through 9 MySQL: 4.5 and 5.0
