Quest Software and Federal Desktop Core ConfigurationQuest Software is pursuing the Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC) certification for a select subset of its products. We have acquired a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) certified Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) vulnerability scanning and certification tool, and we are in the process of establishing an FDCC testing environment within our R&D labs. This will allow us to evaluate our software products on a continual basis against the latest FDCC baseline, document any known exceptions, put development plans in place to address those exceptions, and eventually self-certify our software products as FDCC compliant. Please note that this represents our plan as of September 7th, 2008, and our development plans and priorities are subject to change, due to numerous factors, availability of resources and other matters common to all independent software vendors.
